Who we are

We spend our working lives with veterans whose hearing was damaged in service, on ranges, flight lines, engine decks and in vehicles. Time and again we meet people who have lived with ringing ears or missed conversations for decades without anyone sitting them down and explaining it in plain English.

So we wrote it down. Seven courses, no jargon, no cost, covering everything from the first signs of hearing loss to hearing aids, tinnitus therapy, protecting what you have left, and the compensation you may be owed.

Why education works

Audiology has understood for years that structured education is part of the treatment. People who understand their condition report less distress, sleep better, use their hearing aids more consistently and withdraw from social life far less. Tinnitus programmes built on education and retraining are recommended precisely because understanding the sound reduces the alarm it causes.

Nothing here replaces your GP or audiologist. It gives you the words, the questions and the confidence to get more from them.

Why learning matters for veterans

Learning can play a powerful role in helping veterans build confidence, develop new skills, and create new opportunities after service. The transition into civilian life is a major adjustment. The structure and clearly defined roles of military life change quickly, and government research shows how much difference the right learning at the right time can make.

That research suggests the problem is rarely a lack of ability. It is about recognising existing skills, building new ones, gaining confidence, and translating military experience into everyday life where it can be fully valued. More than half of veterans surveyed, 52.5%, said they had at some point taken a job below the experience or skill level of their final military role.

That is why accessible learning matters. Our courses are free because learning should be something veterans can engage with without another barrier in front of them. We do not believe one course changes everything, but the right knowledge, at the right time, can open a door, build confidence, or help someone take their next step. And sometimes, that next step makes a very real difference.
